How to cancel Tinder— and check you're not still being charged
Dating subscriptions renew through the app store and quietly continue after people stop using them.
Steps to cancel Tinder
- 1Open your Tinder purchase confirmation email and read the order number prefix — MK means Apple bills you, GPA means Google Play bills you, TNDR means Tinder bills you directly.
- 2Apple (MK): open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions.
- 3Google Play (GPA): open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- 4Tinder direct (TNDR): go to tinder.com, log in, tap your profile icon, select Manage Payment Account.
- 5Find and select the Tinder subscription you want to cancel.
- 6Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

Tinder subscriptions do not transfer between platforms. If you moved from iPhone to Android (or back) and resubscribed on the new phone, the old subscription keeps billing until you cancel it on the old device — people end up paying Apple and Google at the same time. Tinder also states that deleting your Tinder account does not cancel an active subscription, and a subscription can only be attached to one Tinder account at a time, so a deleted-and-recreated profile leaves the old billing running.
Will Tinder still charge you after you cancel?
You keep using the cancelled subscription until the end of the term you already paid for, and it will not renew when that term expires. Cancelling does not delete your Tinder account — the profile stays live as a free account until you delete it under Settings > Delete Account. If the app later stops recognising a subscription you still hold, use Settings > Restore Purchase.
Refunds: Generally all purchases are final and nonrefundable, with no credit for partially used periods. Tinder's terms give residents of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin the right to cancel without penalty any time before midnight of the third business day after subscribing; for non-Apple purchases you send a signed, dated cancellation notice with your order number to Tinder, Attn: Cancellations, P.O. Box 25472, Dallas, Texas 75225, USA. Apple- and Google-billed purchases are refunded only by Apple or Google at their discretion. For TNDR or COSU order numbers (card, PayPal or Google CC through Tinder), Tinder will consider refund requests for purchases made in the last 14 days if you contact them from the purchase email address and include the order number.
Tinder runs $9.99–$39.99/mo — about in line with the average dating subscription we track (~$25/mo across the dating services we track).
The only way to be sure a cancellation stuck is to look at your statement. Finletix reads a CSV, PDF, or screenshot and flags every recurring charge — including Tinder, duplicates, and silent price hikes — without ever touching your bank login.
