How to cancel Disney+— and check you're not still being charged
Disney+ is often bought for one show or one season, then left running for months.
Steps to cancel Disney+
- 1Log in to DisneyPlus.com from a computer or mobile browser — this cannot be done in the Disney+ app
- 2Select your Profile
- 3Select Account
- 4Select your Disney+ subscription under Subscription
- 5Select Cancel Subscription
- 6If no subscription is listed there, you are billed by a partner (Amazon, Apple, Google, Hulu, Kroger, HBO Max, Roku, Spectrum, Total Wireless, Verizon or Xfinity) and must cancel through that partner

If you upgraded to a Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Bundle from an existing Hulu, ESPN or HBO Max subscription, cancelling the bundle does not stop the original subscription — it carries on at the then-current price and keeps billing through whoever you originally signed up with. Pausing has the opposite problem: pausing Disney+ pauses every service in the bundle.
Will Disney+ still charge you after you cancel?
You keep access until the end of the current subscription term, which varies depending on whether you are billed monthly, annually or on a promotion. Cancelling does not delete your Disney+ or MyDisney account. Until the term ends you can undo it with Restart Subscription; once the term ends the subscription is fully cancelled and you have to sign up again.
Refunds: Disney+ publishes no general refund policy and says refunds are issued only under certain circumstances via Disney+ Support, landing back on the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Disney+ runs $9.99–$15.99/mo — 12% less than the average streaming subscription we track (~$15/mo across the streaming services we track). Before you cancel, check whether you're also still paying for Netflix, Hulu, Max (HBO Max) — a common overlap in the same category.
The only way to be sure a cancellation stuck is to look at your statement. Finletix reads a CSV, PDF, or screenshot and flags every recurring charge — including Disney+, duplicates, and silent price hikes — without ever touching your bank login.
