The Instacart+ catch

Instacart's own help page says the renewal charge may be applied up to 6 hours before your renewal date, so cancelling on renewal day itself can be too late — do it the day before. The annual refund window is also easy to void: it lasts only the first 5 calendar days of the paid membership and disappears the moment you place a single order using the membership. If you are undecided, the same screen offers a reminder sent 7 days before the membership renews.

Will Instacart+ still charge you after you cancel?

You keep $0 delivery fees through the end of the billing period you already paid for, and the Instacart+ page shows the date your membership expires. Instacart emails a cancellation confirmation; if it is missing, check spam. The same page keeps a "Renew membership" button if you decide to come back later.

Refunds: Annual members only: cancel within the first 5 calendar days of your paid Instacart+ membership and Instacart refunds the membership fee — but only if you have not placed any orders using the membership. Cancel at any other time and there is no refund; you keep $0 delivery fees until the billing period ends.
