The DoorDash DashPass catch

Cancelling during a DashPass free trial kills your benefits the instant you confirm — you forfeit the unused days, so cancel on the last full day before it converts rather than as soon as you sign up. And DoorDash allows only one trial or promotional subscription per household, and says an account whose DashPass was ever terminated is not eligible for a free trial again, so you cannot cancel now and restart a fresh trial later.

Will DoorDash DashPass still charge you after you cancel?

DashPass benefits keep working through the end of the subscription period you already paid for, and DoorDash emails you a confirmation that the membership is cancelled. If you were still inside a free or promotional period, benefits are terminated immediately instead. To avoid the next charge you must cancel at least one full day before the renewal date — DoorDash's terms give the example that a January 10 renewal must be cancelled by 11:59:59 pm on January 9.

Refunds: Normally none. DoorDash's Consumer Terms state the subscription fee is nonrefundable and that you simply keep DashPass benefits through the end of the current period. One documented exception: if you cancel within the first 48 hours of your first subscription period and have not placed a DashPass-eligible order in that period, DoorDash may refund the DashPass fee at its sole discretion.
