How to cancel HelloFresh— and check you're not still being charged
Meal-kit boxes auto-renew weekly and are a large, easily-paused expense people forget to skip.
Steps to cancel HelloFresh
- 1Check your next scheduled delivery date first — the cut-off is 11:59 pm PST five days before it.
- 2Log in to your account at hellofresh.com.
- 3Click your name in the upper right-hand corner, then click "Account Settings".
- 4Scroll down on the Plan settings page and click "Cancel Plan", under the Status section.
- 5Follow every prompt on the screen through to the end; HelloFresh says you must complete all of them to finalize.
- 6Stop when you see the on-screen message confirming your account has been cancelled.

Cancelling wipes your balance: referral bonuses, promotional offers and credits issued by customer care are only available while the account is active and are removed on cancellation, and the cancellation flow shows a summary screen of exactly how much HelloFresh Cash you will lose if you continue. Spend it before you cancel. Also, if you only want a break rather than an exit, "My Menu" > pick the delivery day > "Edit Delivery" > "Skip This Week" skips a box while keeping the account — but skipping is not cancelling and billing resumes the following week.
Will HelloFresh still charge you after you cancel?
The account goes inactive and no further boxes are scheduled. Any box already processed before the cut-off still ships and you are still responsible for that charge — HelloFresh states it cannot process cancellations requested after the cut-off date. If you log back in later, HelloFresh shows a Reactivation button so you can restart without going through checkout again.
