How to cancel Grammarly— and check you're not still being charged
Grammarly Premium bills annually up front, so lapsed users don't notice until renewal.
Steps to cancel Grammarly
- 1Sign in to your Grammarly account and click the Account tab in the left sidebar.
- 2Click Your account, then Subscription in the menu that appears.
- 3Click Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page.
- 4In the window that appears next, click Continue.
- 5Choose a reason for cancellation and click Cancel Subscription again.

Cancelling a Grammarly free trial is not the same as cancelling a paid plan: Grammarly's help page says the trial ends immediately and the account converts to free right away, so you forfeit the remaining trial days. Cancel on the last day of the trial, not the first. Separately, if your Grammarly account is linked to Superhuman, Grammarly warns that cancelling here applies across every other application in the Superhuman suite.
Will Grammarly still charge you after you cancel?
Cancelling stops automatic renewal but you keep all paid features for the rest of your current subscription period, after which the account converts to the free version.
Refunds: Grammarly states you can cancel at any time but refunds are issued only if required by law. If you bought through the App Store, Apple handles the refund.
