How to cancel Canva Pro— and check you're not still being charged
Canva Pro bills annually and is frequently kept for occasional design tasks a free plan would cover.
Steps to cancel Canva Pro
- 1Log in to the Canva account or team that actually holds the plan — check your billing email first to confirm the charge came from Canva and not Google, Apple, or PayPal.
- 2On the homepage, select your account profile to open the menu.
- 3Select Settings.
- 4Go to Billing.
- 5On your plan, select Cancel plan.
- 6Select Continue cancellation, choose why you are cancelling, then select Continue cancellation again.
- 7Select Cancel subscription, then wait for the confirmation email.

Canva bills a day before the billing date shown on your plan, because its fees run on GMT — a monthly plan dated the 31st is charged on the 30th, and on the 28th in February. Cancelling on your stated renewal date is already too late. Also, cancelling Canva Teams is permanent: Canva says you will not be able to resubscribe to Teams afterwards, and suggests switching to Canva Business instead if you might want a team plan later.
Will Canva Pro still charge you after you cancel?
Future payments stop and you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period, then the account drops to Canva Free. All your designs stay accessible on the free plan and your account stays active. Canva sends a confirmation email — if it never arrives, Canva says the cancellation likely did not go through and you should repeat the steps.
Refunds: Canva states subscriptions are not refundable in most cases, though it reviews every request. Approved refunds take 5-10 business days on credit cards, 3-5 on PayPal, up to 20 business days on other methods. App Store purchases must be refunded by Apple.
Canva Pro runs $12.99–$15/mo — 54% less than the average software subscription we track (~$30/mo across the software services we track). Before you cancel, check whether you're also still paying for Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, Grammarly — a common overlap in the same category.
The only way to be sure a cancellation stuck is to look at your statement. Finletix reads a CSV, PDF, or screenshot and flags every recurring charge — including Canva Pro, duplicates, and silent price hikes — without ever touching your bank login.
