How to cancel Apple TV+— and check you're not still being charged
Apple TV+ frequently lingers after a free trial that came with a new device.
Steps to cancel Apple TV+
- 1Go to tv.apple.com and choose Sign In at the top of the page (skip if you don't see Sign In).
- 2Choose the account icon at the top of the page.
- 3Choose Settings.
- 4Scroll to Subscriptions and choose Manage.
- 5Choose Cancel Subscription.

Apple TV is bundled into all three Apple One tiers (Individual, Family, Premier), and both bill as the same apple.com/bill descriptor. If your statement charge is really Apple One, cancelling Apple TV will not stop it, so look for an Apple One line in Subscriptions before assuming. Going the other way, Apple says existing individual subscriptions are automatically cancelled once you're billed for Apple One, with a prorated refund. Separately, tv.apple.com can only cancel Apple-billed subscriptions: if you signed up through Amazon, Apple says you can cancel only through Amazon, and if you pay through Google Play, only in the Apple TV app on Android or at play.google.com.
Will Apple TV+ still charge you after you cancel?
Billing stops at the next renewal date. Go back to the Subscriptions list to confirm it worked: a cancelled subscription shows an expiration message in red text and no longer offers a Cancel Subscription button. If the Cancel Subscription button is still there, it did not go through. Cancelling does not refund the period you already paid for.
Refunds: Not automatic and not granted by cancelling. Apple routes refund requests for apple.com/bill charges to reportaproblem.apple.com, where you sign in and request a refund for a specific charge. Apple documents no guaranteed refund window or approval for Apple TV. Separately, if you switch to Apple One, Apple states you get a prorated refund for individual services you already subscribed to (except iCloud+).
Apple TV+ usually posts as apple.com/bill — which is why it can be hard to recognise when you're scanning a statement for things to cut.
Apple TV+ runs $9.99–$12.99/mo — 22% less than the average streaming subscription we track (~$15/mo across the streaming services we track). Before you cancel, check whether you're also still paying for Netflix, Hulu, Disney+ — a common overlap in the same category.
The only way to be sure a cancellation stuck is to look at your statement. Finletix reads a CSV, PDF, or screenshot and flags every recurring charge — including Apple TV+, duplicates, and silent price hikes — without ever touching your bank login.
