How to cancel LifeLock— and check you're not still being charged
LifeLock renews at full price and is easy to forget behind a bundled Norton charge.
Steps to cancel LifeLock
- 1Sign in to the LifeLock member website with your existing LifeLock or Norton credentials — since the brands merged, one account covers both, and you may be asked which account to use if you have two.
- 2On the main Identity dashboard, hover over your name in the top right corner and select Manage My Subscriptions, then click the Billing Information tab to see the renewal date and price you are about to stop.
- 3If you land on the My Norton page instead, click My Account and select My Subscriptions from the dropdown.
- 4Under the LifeLock membership, click Cancel Subscription Renewal or Manage Renewal.
- 5Next to Plan Renewal click Unsubscribe, choose a reason, click Next, then click No thanks, cancel my subscription and Next.
- 6Allow up to 24 hours for the change to appear in your account and 24 to 48 hours for the confirmation email.
- 7For money back, use the Contact us link on Norton's Cancellation and Refund Policy page to reach Member Services & Support — refunds are not self-service.

If LifeLock is bundled with a Norton subscription, cancelling only the LifeLock piece can make your bill go up rather than down — Norton's policy says the remaining subscriptions stay active and your renewal price is adjusted accordingly. Direction matters too: cancelling the renewal on the main Norton subscription also cancels its add-ons, but cancelling an add-on leaves the main subscription renewing.
Will LifeLock still charge you after you cancel?
Your LifeLock protection runs through the end of the term you already paid for, then ends and does not renew. A confirmation email goes to the address on your Norton account. Norton's policy notes your account may be closed once the paid membership period ends.
Refunds: Annual memberships: full refund if requested within 60 days of purchase, and again within 60 days of each annual renewal charge. Monthly: refund only within 14 days of purchase. Refunds must be requested through Contact us or Member Services & Support. One route people miss: if a company that suffered a data breach is giving you free identity theft protection, LifeLock will pro-rate a refund for the days left in your term regardless of how long ago you enrolled.
LifeLock runs $11.99–$34.99/mo — 26% more than the average security subscription we track (~$19/mo across the security services we track). Before you cancel, check whether you're also still paying for Norton 360, McAfee, Ring Protect — a common overlap in the same category.
The only way to be sure a cancellation stuck is to look at your statement. Finletix reads a CSV, PDF, or screenshot and flags every recurring charge — including LifeLock, duplicates, and silent price hikes — without ever touching your bank login.
