The Audible catch

All remaining credits are forfeited at the end of your final billing cycle, so spend them before you cancel — whatever you buy with a credit is yours forever. The one exception is credits from an App Store or Google Play membership, which do not expire and stay in your account after cancellation.

Will Audible still charge you after you cancel?

Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing cycle, then member benefits stop and Plus Catalog titles show a lock icon. Any audiobook you bought with a credit, credit card or debit card stays in your Library permanently.

How the charge looks on your statement

Audible usually posts as Audible, adbl.co/bill — which is why it can be hard to recognise when you're scanning a statement for things to cut.

How Audible compares in News & Reading

Audible runs $14.95/mo8% more than the average news & reading subscription we track (~$14/mo across the news & reading services we track). Before you cancel, check whether you're also still paying for The New York Times, Scribd (Everand) — a common overlap in the same category.

The 60-second check

The only way to be sure a cancellation stuck is to look at your statement. Finletix reads a CSV, PDF, or screenshot and flags every recurring charge — including Audible, duplicates, and silent price hikes — without ever touching your bank login.
