Is SiriusXM worth it in 2026?

SiriusXM is notorious for auto-renewing at full price after a cheap car trial and for being hard to cancel. At roughly $210 a year, whether SiriusXM is worth it comes down to one question: do you actually use it?

Worth it if…
  • You use it most weeks.
  • It's your only service in this category.
  • The value clearly beats the $210/yr.
Cancel it if…
  • You can't recall the last time you used it.
  • You also pay for Spotify or Apple Music or YouTube Premium.
  • It started as a free trial you forgot about.

Audio subscriptions are non-refundable by default, with two documented exceptions. Cancel a monthly billed plan within 7 days of the subscription start date and it terminates immediately with a pro-rata refund of fees paid, if you request it — this does not apply to later monthly renewals. Cancel a quarterly or annual plan within 30 days of the start or of each subsequent renewal charge for the same pro-rata refund on request. Outside those windows, cancellation is effective at period end and fees paid are non-refundable. Trials and extended service subscriptions included with a vehicle purchase are explicitly not eligible for any refund.
